The Tears for Fears version is more in the hip-80's style. The Jules version is definitely more somber.

Always reminds me of Counter-Strike (but that could be because I used it in Clutch 2, a CS movie I made in younger, simpler times)...

It is vastly superior to the Tears for Fears version. The lyrics aren't the only part of the song that you listen to... And the lyrics simply work better with the somber piano and melancholy voice.

There was a thread with a poll on it within the past year. The Jules version got the vast majority of votes. I like both, but prefer the TFF version. I'm old enough to have heard that one when it was new.
