This sort of happened to me before.
One night 10-15 years ago, knock on door. I open it up to see a friend of a friend and some dude, the dude said they are looking for my best friend.
Apparently, hours earlier, my best friend was driving the dude to buy "something" in another city and they stopped at a rest stop. The guy had already handed over the money. The dude goes to take a piss and says the following:
"I hate rest stops. Don't think about leaving me"
What does my friend do? Left the dumbass at the rest stop. He didn't even think about it until the dude mentioned it.
Guy shows up at my house because the other dumbass had helped set up the deal and he felt obligated to track my buddy down. I of course don't find about this until both of them are sitting on my couch. I let them hang for 15-20 mins before I say I'm on my way out to a party in the next state. They eventually take the hint and leave. As they are walking out I told the one dude I know to fuck himself for bringing random fucking dudes to my house.
4 hours later, I'm at the party and who do I see? My buddy, rolling his nuts off on that dude's money. I tell him about how is fuckin with the dude ruined my night and he kindly splits the dude's cash with me.
Moral of the story? If I had a gun that dude would have been on my floor.
And...drugs are bad.

EDIT: There is more to this story that I thought was worth sharing.
The dude had the nerve to have his fucking mom call my buddy and demand the money back. My friend goes off on her and tells her her son is the gays and owes a bunch of people money and he has slowly been sucking his way back to even. He was at the rest stop to earn some cash.
Months later, turns out dude's phone was tapped and when he did get arrested for some other bullshit he was involved with, one of the arresting officers said they heard he likes rest stops. now, I don't know for sure if that last part is true but I wouldn't doubt it. Cops always will drop hints they had your shit bugged in hopes you will slip up and talk.

The dumbass who brought the dude to my house was with them when dude got left.
Friend told him to get in the car while dude was taking a piss. Dumbass says "nah man" friend tells him to get in or get left, so he got in.
You know, years later it is easier to put things together. I'm guessing dumbass came to my house out of desperation. Just hoping my buddy would show.
Anyways. I know dumbass and my buddy hung out again later as my buddy has this funny hooker story I may feel like sharing later.
