I had the red sparkles early on with the Soyo (powering off and on would always fix it), but I actually haven't seen any sparkles in a month. I made two changes since the sparkles: switched DVI cables and switched (downgraded, don't ask) from an X1950XT to a 7600GT. Not sure which was the key, but the Soyo has been flawless since.

I -didn't- buy it despite two visits to local OM's: neither had any input signals for it, so I couldn't see its performance/quality. Please tell me horror stories about it! As it is, I think I missed a great buy: now even I don't respect me!

I've owned the display going on 2 mos now. Had absolutely no problems whatsoever. It's fine for games, you shoould be OK at 1920x1200 as long as you have a mid-range to latest setup (I have a core 2 6600, x1800XT 512mb setup but plan on upgrading).Originally posted by: VooDooAddict

Same at the shop I bought mine.
Basicly for work ONLY, it's great. Cheep with lots of space and speakers for office application feedback sounds.
Everything else ... just ok
Games ok - though i prefer a nice 1680x1050 as a good performace / quality balance for gaming. 1920x1200 can be a little hard on things.
HD-DVD/Blu-Ray NO as it has no HDCP
Console gaming is also a problem as the only inputs are DVI and VGA.

My brother picked one of those up and everything looks good so far. I would be careful with an LCD monitor for $299 period since you can get better known brands for about $100 bucks more.

Thats the thing- the you have to pay more than $100 for the better known brands that don't have TN panels in them
