Some stores now have several stocks of this great sounding speakers. Sonic XS compusa stock # 295955.

I went to the Lewisville,TX and they have a lot. I was told that the Frisco, TX store would have them next week. Since they have a 14 day price guarantee, if these go down more, they should be able to adjust the price for you.

This usually retails around $199.00. Check out MicroCenter. Its listed as $199.99. Some online stores carry them around $160.00.

Site shows it back to $49.99

Checked the sites in Dallas, all have stock.

reporting in from madison, WI. I just bought a pair (sonic XS) from the compusa near target for 49.99 and tax. The speakers sound great! The bass is nice and full and I'm not getting distortion at LOUD levels. I missed out on these speakers the last hot deal when they were $30 but I'm glad I got them this time. I'm kinda surprised nobody left you any replies, this is an excellent deal. there is some discussion going on over at chubbie's wallet.

Thanks beatniks3. Im kinda surprised also myself since the last hot deal about this was like 3 pages long. I remember getting pissed about it since i couldnt find one. They are a great sounding speaker. The store i went at didnt even have this on the shelves. They had to look for it inside the stock room. 1st one they pull out was the XJR. Told them no, thats the small brother which cost more. Then came out this HUGE box. When my wife saw it, she couldnt believe it only cost $49.99. I was already planning on buying a Klipsch ( did i spell that right ) 2.1 speaker for $150.00. Good thing i saw this.

I got these a while back with the 25% off speaker online ad for $30ish.
They sound awesome. Nothing comes close for under $200 imo.

Also, for everyone thinking that logo is god-awfull looking, like me... the big "sonic xjs" logo is a thick plastic sticker pressed on the speaker after it was built. I pryed it off with an old heavy-duty pc-case slot cover (but a slot screwdriver would work too). It came off clean.
Under the plastic logo are a couple holes where the volume and bass controls would go. Technically, removing the logo might affect the sound, but I sure can't notice.

Also, these are quite large... so if you've got a small space you may have trouble finding a place for them. On the flip side, if you've got a small room, these are all you'd need for a decent audio setup.

so do i have the same speakers if mine say the Sonic XS on them? That's what the box says as well. I think that logo looks like crap as well, but hey the sound makes up for it.

Whoops... Yes, these are the "XS"... there's no "J" in there.

OP, you may want to edit the title.

If you have trouble with the logo, the glue seems to have a low "melting point" -- I warmed it by holding my hand on it and it loosened up considerably.

I'm another person who missed out on the last deal and have been kicking myself for the last three months. Just picked mine up and can't wait to get home to audition them.

Anyone have quality problem with theirs? I didn't buy the service plan but wondering if it's worth the 5 extra dollars.

Me too. I always kept looking for these speakers. Ebay has some good prices but to much for shipping. Other online stores still has jack up prices. I even tried to go to Micro Center and do a PM. Since both store are far away from, just decided to go to CompUSA since i know i will get it at that price. I asked the cashier if this speaker prices would go down more for Thanksgiving sale. He just smiled. So let's see. 14 day price guarantee. Keep your receipts guys. Im thinking of getting another one for X'mas gift for a friend.

I just finished reading that mammoth post they have on chubbie's about the last time they had this deal at $30. there are over twenty pages of posts and I don't feel any smarter having read through them all. I Guess what i learned was that if you get a set you should be careful when plugging in the 5-pin (what is it called) wire between the sub and right sat. some people complained of bending their pins and having some sound probelms afterward. i've listened to my speakers for a few hours now and I really like the sound reproduction. snares sounded nice and sharp and the bass was decent given the relatively small 6" sub. these speakers can go very LOUD!

These are really nice speakers for the price, just picked up a set and listening to some BT now as I type this. Bass is a little boomy, the satellites are pretty huge, but damn these puppies can pump it out at high volume w/ no distortion. Recommended if you want a 2.1 set for $50.

Never had 5.1 speakers, but I got these speakers the last time around and I think i can hold off on upgrading for a while especially with my lack of space. DVDs sound great along with TV programs compared to my WEGA speakers.

Picked up a pair today. These rock. Enough said.

I was running the XA3021s. They were good, but these are better.

I hopped on this since my Altec Lansing ATP4's were cluttering up my desk a little too much. For those who stated how incredible they sound (especially at this price point), you only HINTED at their true potential! I would have been willing to spend the $200 after hearing them . Thanks for the heads up! I have to sell my ATP4's now

CompUSA had to have bought a ton on closeout to get the price that low! Pricegrabber search is still showing over $160 for these speakers. BTW, wrote a little review on these... can be seen here.

i think it sound better than the z560, since the sonic sub is huge and within the sub, there is a speaker in there also. for $49.99, that is a steal. walmart.com selling the same speakers set for 162.xx. i think the sonic xs is compareable to the klisph 2.1, but i am not willing to pay 179.99 for the klipsh.
