well here it is. i was supposed to work tonight but it got moved to tomorrow night, so i'm celebrating. with a gallon of jim beam.
i came here 8 years~ ago looking for computer help. i was building a computer for the first time and nervous as shit. then i built it and it worked. then i decided to go to college for computer engineering. then i got to a class called advanced data structures and algorithms and decided that i couldn't do that and went to EE. it worked out in the end.
in a lot of ways, ATOT has probably saved my life. i posted here in february of 2002 asking for advice for my first date, then i posted here in april of 2002 for my first breakup. i posted here in 2007 about an addiction to alcohol and got several PMs of support, and still get those from time to time. probably don't deserve them but thank you anyway.
and when i try to sober up and start getting panic attacks/withdrawals, i come to ATOT and just hit refresh. over and over. and read the new threads. and it takes my mind off my problems. sad? yes. but it helps.

there are a lot of people i need to thank, but my memory has become really bad since i started drinking. go ahead, alcoholism is for the weak. we have no will power, etc. that's fine. i know i choose to drink. but then again i also choose to breathe, sometimes that's how strong it feels.
 ATOT.
