I hope you're getting paid well for those posts, you have earned it!
His dream is to suck the real Obamashaft vs the silicone replica that was issued to him.
Obamacare also has coverage for mental breakdown. Just a friendly FYI.
I could just rub this into those anti Obama folks noses.
Don't worry about it guys. When this shit bomb really shows it's ugly ass, it's gonna prove that people like Ted Cruz were really trying to do the right thing. Since ACA was passed in the night without a single Republican vote, when it all starts ripping off mainstreet America, the Dems can kiss 2014 & 2016 goodbye. The upside to this is that a GOP controlled house and senate will fix the economy, kind of like the last time we had a surplus, under Clinton. The GOP had control of the senate and the house. The mistake the GOP made was trying to delay it a year. Bring it on now, so we can watch it's epic demise before the mid terms. It will create great campaign talking points.
Would be nice if their website actually worked. Been trying for the last 20 minutes to create an account and get an error every time.
My first attempt on Chrome failed because the security questions page doesn't work on Chrome at all. After I switched to IE it fails at the last step of account creation every time and makes you restart the entire signup process.
Nice job government contractors, way to put out a quality product.

Website is being hammered. Never played a new MMO have you? : )
Everyone must take part in healthcare. period.
And with that, costs WILL drop for more affordability than you probably get from your employer based insurance.
You employer has, what, maybe 200, 300, 5000 employees with healthcare?
And you premium costs still run ramped despite, year after year.

Yes, of course I have and I expected there would be issues today. However, load balancing and automatic provisioning of new servers is a solved problem and has been for years now.
The more offensive issue is that they didn't even test this crap on Chrome or Firefox, neither work on the security questions page, only IE.
Still, I'm anxious to see how badly I get screwed since I'm being forced to choose a plan through this system as my old state-sponsored system is shutting down at the end of the year.
obamacare is forecast to increase medical spending this year 6% versus the average 4%. With HSA's and higher deductible policies we saw consumers being more aware of their healthcare spending. obamacare moves healthcare spending in the opposite direction once again. I saw this in Tennessee with their Tenncare program offering insurance to people who could not afford it or had preexisting conditions preventing them from getting private insurance. The program had little out of pocket costs for recipients and left alone, would have consumed 1/3 of the state's budget.
And to those claims that having a lot of uninsured people running around increased my premiums...

75% of those costs were borne by federal, state, and local taxes. So everyone paid for the uninsured basically.

New Health Insurance Marketplace Coverage Options and Your Health CoverageForm Approved OMB No. 1210-0149 (expires 11-30-2013)
PART A: General Information
When key parts of the health care law take effect in 2014, there will be a new way to buy health insurance: the Health Insurance Marketplace. To assist you as you evaluate options for you and your family, this notice provides some basic information about the new Marketplace and employment*based health coverage offered by your employer.
What is the Health Insurance Marketplace?
The Marketplace is designed to help you find health insurance that meets your needs and fits your budget. The Marketplace offers "one-stop shopping" to find and compare private health insurance options. You may also be eligible for a new kind of tax credit that lowers your monthly premium right away. Open enrollment for health insurance coverage through the Marketplace begins in October 2013 for coverage starting as early as January 1, 2014.
Can I Save Money on my Health Insurance Premiums in the Marketplace?
You may qualify to save money and lower your monthly premium, but only if your employer does not offer coverage, or offers coverage that doesn't meet certain standards. The savings on your premium that you're eligible for depends on your household income.
Does Employer Health Coverage Affect Eligibility for Premium Savings through the Marketplace?
Yes. If you have an offer of health coverage from your employer that meets certain standards, you will not be eligible for a tax credit through the Marketplace and may wish to enroll in your employer's health plan. However, you may be eligible for a tax credit that lowers your monthly premium, or a reduction in certain cost-sharing if your employer does not offer coverage to you at all or does not offer coverage that meets certain standards. If the cost of a plan from your employer that would cover you (and not any other members of your family) is more than 9.5% of your household income for the year, or if the coverage your employer provides does not meet the "minimum value" standard set by the Affordable Care Act, you may be eligible for a tax credit.1
Note: If you purchase a health plan through the Marketplace instead of accepting health coverage offered by your employer, then you may lose the employer contribution (if any) to the employer-offered coverage. Also, this employer contribution -as well as your employee contribution to employer-offered coverage- is often excluded from income for Federal and State income tax purposes. Your payments for coverage through the Marketplace are made on an after-tax basis.
