It would take years to go through Trump's Taxes. It is more paper than the budget document that congress prepares every year. Besides, the Federal Government or the IRS does an audit every year.

Bullshit. utter, complete bullshit. Congressional committees routinely release multi-thousand piece discovery documents at the end of their investigations, which are then disseminated and reported within a week. There is nothing in a Trump tax return that can't be discovered within a few days of real work.

Well, can't say I'm surprised. I still think the tax returns would show that he doesn't make nearly as much as he wants everyone to believe, or that he doesn't have nearly the wealth he wants everyone to believe. It's a potential source of embarrassment, so he won't release it. I understand not releasing it before the election because it would have been used against him and could have cost him the election.... but now? He said he'd release them, he should release them, but I'm not surprised he won't. He's just too thin-skinned.

Just because someone sues doesn't mean they will get what they seek or that they can get whatever they want as part of discovery. Not saying it won't happen, but it's far from clear IMO.

I'd like to see his financial entanglements because he is the President of vast wealth and conflicts should be known. Sorry that's not stupid. I also recognize that in spite of this people have rights under the law and my desire for knowledge no matter how justified are secondary to law. If there is no legal basis to have these documents I have to accept that. Not like it, but that's immaterial.

Uh, no, the petition has no impact on me. Whether it gets taken down or not makes zero difference to me. I've previously said he should release the taxes because he said he would. He is under no legal obligation to do so at this point though.
