By the fall of 2000 the US lead by a Democratic President had the biggest surplus ever both in absolute terms and relative to the GDP, turning the biggest deficit ever inherited from 12 years of GOP control.

Then, the GOP managed to create a deficit larger the the cumulative deficit of the 43 previous presidents in only 8 years leading to a big risk of systemic failure of the economy. And people still want to continue GOP rule! Suicidal? Please use a gun instead of risking our lives as well by a GOP vote!

The Republican party has no business ever being in control after the disasters they have created for the past 3-4 decades. It's just stunning how badly they have failed in terms of running this country. They simply don't have a clue.

With our military spending close to the rest of the world combined, we have more than enough with a lower military budget.

The only thing the excess does is cause problems for us, others, and more likely both.
