Come on, man. The apathy is killing.

It was not a fvcking "witty point", I was wondering why they were trying to make a buck off of that site:|

There's a chinese saying called "hwo-gai", which means "you brought it upon yourself".

With that being said, I do feel sad but I don't think about all the world's starving children and people of unfortunate circumstances before I go to bed so that I can cry myself to sleep.

Went to get in my car a couple of years back only to find some dude who shot up passed out in the driver seat of my car. Id link the thread, but my account was deleted along with 10+ other people earlier this year.

I don't see people getting serious and all pissy about those who jump in front of trains or jump of buildings.

People who use this meth ****** fall in the same category, imho.

The real victims are those that are left in their wake of self-distruction. (friends, fam and pets)

You can get soft about the subject or you can get pissed like me and show no sympathy for the users.... NONE.

I also don't feel sorry for them and don't want anyone to be sorry for them. But they set an example in front of us of "what could happen" to a perfectly sane and healthy human being because of addictions.

The super liberal lol??! What is wrong with caring for another human being? I have had my own set of problems, been addicted to different stuff, nothing as bad as meth though. But I can see where these people are coming from. It's not like they woke up one morning and decided to be an addict to something, I dunno unless you've been through something like it I guess it's hard to explain. Believe me the life of an addict is horrible, any kind of addiction is an absolute monster. Nothing to joke about, and anyone fighting it has my full support and sympathy.

I know what you mean, but I believe in pinyin it is "huo gai."

Nothing is wrong with being "super liberal" or caring about people. There are different levels of ideology and you belong to the "super" sect of the liberal persuasion. That's all.

i used to think "hey if i dont do it, its cool". I learned later, that wasnt entirely true. I used to play with some fine musicians - true artists. We all shared the same passion for music... then they got into drugs. After a while, their passion for music shifted to their addictions. And after a longer while, they couldnt even function enough to play music correctly. So what am I trying to get at? That drugs screw up your body? No, everyone knows that. That drugs are addictive? Everyone knows that too. What I'm trying to say is that drugs KILL - they kill the things you love most, and its a slow and painful death. Those stereotypical stories you hear and see allllll the time that are almost cliche about musicians and drug - well they're all true... and I experienced it from an odd perspective.

And as for drinking... i think its fantastic if you're mature enough.

True, I have known many aspiring artists who got sidetracked into their drug habits. I have also seen some seriously pretty girls who could've been anything they wanted... actresses, models, happy mothers married to rich dudes... simply give it all up for meth, crack, or heroin. It's sad to see people with amazing potential just become another street person.

Anyone who talks about it all happening because they tried the drug once is full of it. I tried meth once (commonly referred to as P in NZ) and although I had an awesome time and felt brilliant on it, I decided that because of the cost and addictive nature of the drug I would never, ever do it again. Now I can cherish the memory of the fantastic time I had and put it in my past, just like all of my other drug experiences.

I was good friends with a guy in school name Adam. He was a smart guy but fell in the with wrong crowd. I recently saw his name in the papers after he robbed a bank while high to pay off P related debts. Here's on of the articles.

It's sad to see a guy with so much potential end up like this. Methamphetamine (P) is a terrible thing indeed.

Drugs are bad, but alcohol is good!

These kind of statements are always amusing to me. Alcohol is every bit a hard drug as methamphetamine.

The ability to control one's self is what seperates us from the baser animals. I have little sympathy for those who get addicted to drugs, except for children born to addict mothers and people who aquire a dope habit for legitmate pain needs. I also feel sorry for the old people who started smoking back in the day because "XYZ Cigarette was recomended by 7 out of 8 doctors."
If you play with fire and don't prepare to be burned you are an idiot.

You guys do realise that while the media demoizes meth, a huge percentage of our children are getting druged up by it's less powerful brother ampehtamine.

The thing I feel sorry for is English sentence structure and grammar. Just how intelligent does one appear when they fail to properly execute basic language skills?
Geez, there are people in the 3rd world that have a better grasp of English syntax than * some native speakers do.

Or to quote from PULP FICTION...."English M*****F%%$$#? Do you speak IT?!"

* NOT THEN, but THAN....

BTW, I feel sorry for anyone without the level of empathy to know that "there ,but for the grace of God, go I." Addictio can happen to ANYONE. Don't be so smug as to think you are immune. You are human, you are as at risk as anyone.

I knew a guy that OD'd on heroin years ago, didn't feel to bad for him though, really the only thing I felt bad for him for was the fact that he was raised in a less fortunate environment, but that's more of an excuse for him than anything else.
