I've talked to the financial department of multiple hospital systems in multiple states and have not received such a gracious offer. That's also not quite the same as "as long as you pay $10/mo they won't send you to collections".Our local (large, university system) hospital will automatically lower your bill by like 20% if you simply call in when you receive the bill and pay then.
