What's the fastest way to level? RVR?

The big con is this damn game crashes almost every 30 minutes! Running on 4 gigs, 8600 gt, vista 64 and on balanced setting and I can't keep the game running for more than a hour befored CTD. Graphic is average at best, but that's ok, you're too business zerging to notice.

Has to be the fact you're on horrible vista....So far on XP 32bit ive had zero crashes, and ive been playing closed for a few weeks now.

Graphics will go up, the high textures are not in yet...since its only beta. Graphics will improve immensely when it goes live..

Another thing I like about this game is that I haven't had to do those "Kill 10 of this crap and bring it back to me!" quest. There are your standard delivery and kill "X' amount of trash mob quests in the game, but I have been able to level to level 12 without doing many of these quests.

The public quest and the open warband party are also nice because you don't waste 30 minutes standing around LFG.

Surprised no one has a good link for info on the different classes and styles of play for each class for this game.
AoC, even though it sucks, had extensive guides months before release.

The NDA was lifted a week ago, relax.

Or, I guess, you could write a class guide

Actually, I just stuck to doing all the quests and I did pretty well experience wise. A lot of the quests require you to go into RvR areas so you get to do both at the same time. Awesome experience if you have a warband.

Also, I'll ask again since I really want to know...

How the heck do you use the flight masters. When I was at my Chaos Camp (Chapter 7 area I believe) and went to the Flight Master, all I see are black boxes with the names of the places I want to go. When I click on them, nothing happens. Do I have to go somewhere at the first Camp or do something else beforehand or does it simply not work? I have a bunch of quests that require me to travel.

Edit: Figured it out.

Thats fine. He's the one that can't hardly play because it keeps crashing. I'm the one that hasn't had it crash once because im on the older, more stable platform. I have two computers, one with vista, one with XP, and XP is what i'll be putting on my new gaming machine. Having first hand experience with both, vista is utterly worthless.

I haven't had a single crash with vista64, so Xp is worthless! See the problem there?

i have vista 64, 2 gig, running 8800 gt, the game runs fine at the highest setting in beta. but i guess i'll have to upgrade my memory when i get the actual game.

over all, i like the game, playing a zealot. the last few hours of the preview weekend, i was involved in a massive RvR in ostland/troll country. i even get to use the cannon to kill a few players.

guess what, you are a brainless tool,
i run vista 64 and i have not had it crash for any reason EVER, runs WAR just fine, his issue is not vista.

They have specific sections for each class, and a guide section.

These sites are handy sometimes, but personally i'd rather work things out for myself. Cookiecutter attitudes come from using sites too early, imo

Go to http://www.wardb.com/ then and you can see all the skills, tactics and such and make your own decisions.

Down towards the bottom there's a section called Army Discussions. Each Army has subforums for each of it's careers.

i played the preview weekend for some time. I tried an engineer, witch hunter, high elf long ranged priest (forgot the class name for it), greenskin tank (forgot the class name again), and greenskin shaman?.

i took almost all of those characters to level 10. I liked the public quest its different and fun, if you're a healing class and you only heal people during a public quest will you also be considered during the automatic chest roll? or only damage doers are considered for it? ya the auto chest roll feature is very good.

PvP queuing and maps are different and good. You can basically queue for PvP from anywhere & go on about your game & once you're done with your PvP it puts back to the exact same spot where you left & not in some town.

In the end, playing for 3 days, my conclusion is,
the guys who designed WAR are like the one's who played wow for years & got frustrated with some of WoW's features and blizzard's inability or arrogance to fix those things. In other words this game fills the gaps of WoW.

I was looking for something ground breaking something revolutionary like what WoW did. This game has the same classes, tank, rogue, mage, warlock, hunter, paladin, priest, ..... same concept different name.

This game is good in many ways but didnt make me cancel my WoW subscription.

My PC died just in time for preview weekend, so I haven't actually played it yet, but I'm very excited. I spent maybe 90% of my time in post-BC WoW pvping, so WAR is obviously more in line with what I want out of an MMO.

With that said, it looks like there's still some pretty big issues with class balance and I'm not expecting an issue-free launch, but the same could be said for any new MMO (including WoW. Launch was not painless by any stretch of the imagination and 4 years in the classes are still far from balanced in terms of pvp utility).

Anyways, I think it has potential to be great. It won't be a WoW-killer, but that's not exactly a bad thing.

doh that sucks, lol
yeah, launch issues are to be expected to acertain extent.
And balance, bah. It's relative for one. There's no such thing as perfect when talking about mmo pvp balance.
