I find impeachment to be a loser politically for the Right as it was with Clinton but the tact they are on and have been on is also a loser for them...

It may be too extreme but that is the only way to deal with the covered folks when they violate the Constitution in a manner not covered by the US Code. Holder and the Federal Reserve Member banks and MJ transactions....

It is all political gamesmanship and frustrating but I'm willing to enable progress at the expense of rule bending... The rule of law is and always ought to be sacrosanct so there is a price to pay if the bending breaks the rule...

Turley asserts that there is nothing new about the antagonism between parties in the US, that in the founding time, they literally tried to kill each other. But I wonder if this isn't the first time in history the attempt was to destroy a President via congressional inaction, McConnell style, there that is job one. Furthermore, I would say that the world has grown a lot smaller and far more complicated and even dangerous for the US today and the pace of change far far more rapid than in the founders days, even perhaps demanding greater adaptability and quicker response times than ever before. It seems almost as if the rate at which change is required has outpaced the rate at which our government as established can maintain. We are fiddling while Rome burns. It all redounds to the Presidents desk and the do nothings in Congress hope to sink him with that. What else can he do to fight back but try to move things.

We are supposed to have a triad of checks and balances but what if two branches of the government are out to do in the third?

I listened and read his testimony and he seems to speak and write in a manner that is understandable by seasoned attorneys and legislators who are on the same page as he is.

When Tip O'neil was speaker he and Reagan had their differences but they did move legislation... After 6pm we have a beer and enjoy each other's company.

When the Right moves further Right the Left moves further Right as well. It used to be baby steps but now it seems to be leaps.
There used to be a far different methodology in DC than today.

The framers chose this divided government for a reason... They could have opted for the British Parliament example. They wanted laws to be created from compromise. They knew full well there would be give and take and arguments over petty issues. They knew that folks like Hamilton and Burr would libel and slander each other and probably knew that when Burr was going to run for NY Governor Hamilton would be there to thwart that and someone get shot... It was expected.
They also limited who could vote... which is afoot today. Why should folks have a say just cause they are citizens, they figured... They don't have a Real stake in the matter...

Why on earth would the loser in a presidential election get to be Vice President... That was a novel idea... seems to breed discontent more than sating the will of the people who voted.

The congress fears impeachment because they tried to apply it like idiots and failed and the Supreme court fears their 5 4 decisions because what happened with Bush and the disaster he created. Each is paralyzed by it's own innate stupidity, in my opinion, and is afraid to do anything. This leaves only the President who is charged with the executive need to attend to the people's needs, to gather up the reigns of power, it seems to me. The fault is all in the fact that the conservative brain, in my opinion, views other teams as enemies instead of co-equal players for the same league. Obsessed by a sense of righteousness, they see the other as evil. I believe it is this simple brain defect that is killing the country. I believe that stopping that insanity is job one, that if nothing stops them they will take us off a cliff. They can't compromise with evil and they will not see that that is what in fact makes them the only real evil there is. I don't see this as demonizing them but simply reporting on the actual state of fact. They no longer pose a constructive break on potential liberal excess but have become a brain disease. Without an external threat to the nation they have lost relevance and the antics they produce are result of the fact they are dying. They can find no appeal to the massive class of others they are afraid of. They are repellant to the average person and exist only via a massive propaganda campaign by their handlers, the wealthy the unknowingly and blindly serve against their own best interests.

Because there is nothing in your post to discuss. That's what a bunch of people here have tried to impress upon you. That's why your posts are littered with pudding comments.
All I can tell you is that many of the things you write may make perfect sense to you. But to those reading your words it comes across as insane raving. The concept that conservatives have a brain defect is ludicrous and insulting. I read what you write and it's the exact same thing the insane bigots say about blacks. Just read your last post and substitute ****** for conservative. That's why no one will discuss an issue with you, that's why you're called a troll, and that's why you're mocked and ridiculed. Your argument's are based on the premise that conservatives are inferior humans, that they need to be controlled, that they aren't capable of rational thought. They do very well with that logic over at storm front, perhaps you'd be happier posting over there.
