So, I decided to get into loose leaf tea because I like tea in general, it is good for you, and it's a taste you can cultivate that won't turn you into an alcoholic or poison you like tobacco. I got this Rishi Tea Infuser for work-- http://www.amazon.com/Rishi-Tea-Per...2VIM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1298044871&sr=8-1.

I got this bodum teapot for christmas: http://www.amazon.com/Bodum-Assam-4...LM0Z/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1298044752&sr=8-1
I like the Rishi one much better, especially for just 2 cups of tea. I may get another one for home.

Now I need some tea! I like darjeeling, so I got Adagio's puttabong summer: http://www.adagio.com/black/darjeeling_no2.html?SID=9b71a5a6ee379a496a60d50af05a1753 and their darjeeling Oolong: http://www.adagio.com/black/darjeeling_no2.html?SID=9b71a5a6ee379a496a60d50af05a1753. But I want more!

So, point me to your favorite teas, available online

I still go for Puer tea. I get mine locally so I can't provide links but any cooked puer is usually decent everyday tea. The raw puers are a different story. I usually keep those for afternoons when I can pay more attention to what I'm drinking. I'm not a fan of the young raw puers so the aged ones cost a pretty penny.

For oolong I like the Iron Buddha but the cheaper varieties I find too bitter. The better ones have a nice grassy taste with almost a hint of some kind of fat or butter.

No links from work, but try to find Lapsang Souchong, Gunpowder and Russian Caravan.

In before "Earl Grey, hot".

I like strong black teas, and am currently having a love affair with Black Dragon Pearls

Their Irish Breakfast tea is outstanding, as well. If you're not sure what you may like, their "Silk Road" sampler is outstanding.

I'm enjoying a cup of A&P store brand tea right now.

I've been through a lot of the specialty teas and I finally realized that the expense and time isn't worth it to me. I do keep getting invited to "tea tasting parties" - fancy ones, since my social circle is heavily into that kind of thing these days. I can enjoy it, but for my everyday life, give me a box of A&P tea bags.

I had a Puer as a recommendation from a friend. Not too shabby. I still prefer black and green teas in general. I tend to get Korean maeshil tea at this one café when I'm in the mood for a fruitier flavor.
