It still will not reliably sync with my iDevices over wi-fi.

I just turned wi-fi syncing off so it will stop teasing me.

I really liked it for the few hours I used it, but with them removing Cover Flow I'll be going back to the last 10.x version. I guess maybe Apple didn't think it fit in with iTunes new look, but CF was my 2nd favorite thing about the program outside of the smart playlists. Hopefully in a future update they'll re-add it, but I won't hold my breath. It really sucks because everything else seems like an improvement.

I like the new iTunes. Mainly for its speed. I didn't really care for cover flow.

Cover Flow was super cool demo material when it first came out like 5 years or so ago, and it was nice to see all the album art. But if you don't have all the album art, it falls apart.

I'm still a holdout for the classic simple list mode.

Seems to be fine. It's definitely a lot different interface-wise than the previous iteration... might take some getting used to. It seems to be reasonably faster though so I'll take it.

Cover flow is the reason I used some program to find the album art for all my songs. It looks nice now, but before it was like ew.

Same here. I wish they would drop cover flow in iOS. :\

I want them to re-unify features between the platforms. Now that they have the queue up feature in desktop iTunes, we need it in mobile iTunes. Also, better playlist creation on the devices.

iTunes 11 Thinks Different about iOS Devices

The data backup options have become more obvious. You can choose to back up data automatically to iCloud or to the computer, as was available previously, but now there’s a Manually Back Up and Restore section in the Summary screen. Click the Back Up Now button (previously hidden in a contextual menu when you Control-clicked the device in the sidebar) to back up your data to the hard disk. If you normally back up to iCloud, this feature gives you a local backup

I am kinda old-fashioned when it comes to backing things up. I prefer my "primary" backup to be local. So, I never use the "Backup to iCloud" option.

Is this really a change in how backups work, or have I been doing it wrong all along?

Hmm right click > Open in Windows Explorer is gone. Bummer. It let me be lazy and avoid having to navigate to the folders. It's also helpful because I buy from iTunes and Amazon, and without looking at the info, I can't tell where it is.

EDIT:

Apparently, I need to get my prescription checked, because I checked again and it's there. I must have been right clicking on the album and not the song. False alarm! Put the pitchforks back, folks!

Someone else authorized your computer with their Apple ID.

Nope, because no one I know owns or listens to those songs. That and no one else could have done that because no one else has ever used my computer nor have I ever gotten music that required someone else's login to play.

That explanation makes sense, but isn't the case.

You should open a ticket with Apple Support on this.

Somehow, scammers routinely compromise thousands of accounts and spam positive ratings on worthless apps or purchase them with accounts that have payment info. Is it mainstream music, or some small-time unknown stuff?

Do you have iTunes Match? I wonder if it just found some random files on your computer and added them to the music library.

I'm embarrassed to say it took me 10 mins to figure out how to drag and drop songs into my iPhone. My God I must be getting dumber as I get older.

It is a change. It used to be a one or the other thing. Now it appears that if you were to connect your phone, you could do a full backup without having to jump through hoops.

The easier they can make syncing the better. The next change they need to do is let my device sync content from anything with my name on it, any way I choose.

Maybe I want to wirelessly sync this week, but plug in next week. Maybe I am out and about and want to add a song from iTunes Match. Maybe I am on the road and want to use my laptop to sync. Let me do these things Apple. I don't know if you have some sort of weird interpretation of a licensing agreement from 10 years ago or something, but let me do it.

So far I like itunes 11 a lot. So much smoother and cleaner than the previous versions. It felt like itunes was getting worse with every new feature that they kept adding, but now they've gone back to their simple style.
