I figured that my iTunes needed a splash screen because it always takes a while to start up and i wanted something nice to look at while i was waiting.
I made a splash picture (iTunes Splash) now i just want to know how to display it while im waiting for iTunes to start up.
I figure i could use Visual Basic to make a program that would launch iTunes when i opened it, but i dont know how to make a form/splash translucent or transparent.
What program and code would i need to use to make a splash screen so that it would end up looking like this - iTunes Splash Preview
(For that picture i just set it as my background..)

if you don't want iTunes to take a long time to load and you're willing to sacrafice some memory, just let iTunes run its iTuneshelper.exe. it preloads some of iTunes which makes it load faster.

Or, if you are on OS X. Have itunes launch at login, but if you like close the window immediately afterward. Then, when you go to open it up again, it jumps right up.

Also, on OS X get XSlimmer to remove from iTunes the extra languages and PPC (or intel code if you are on an older system) code to save some space and decrease load time.

Yea, XSlimmer is the greatest, especially with Apple's apps... you can get rid of so much extra crap out of those.
