There were photos on HardForum.com that I cannot find, that showed an H100 that exploded, showering the videocard and motherboard in water. It looked pretty bad.

It was also posted over the Corsair support forum. They covered all his hardware... but still, the inconvenience is the issue.

Time will tell on those water coolers.. Still too early to have catastrophic failures. Look at the Newegg reviews on the old CoolIT Ecos and it makes you wonder why Newegg stopped selling the CoolIT products. The H60, 80 and 100 are all CoolIT manufactured products. I would trust an Asetek over CoolIT any day.

And still the Antec Kuhler (which is an Asetek product, essentially) is very poorly reviewed an even lesser used in the test platforms.

Also people over at OCN SFF recommend h60 over anything else.

I can't agree.

I've used a lot of CoolIt products over the years, including specially ordering 80mm Rad editions direct from them in Alberta, Canada to use in HTPC builds with minor overclocks.

They've been excellent for me. I know for sure I've used at least 10 of there coolers over the past few years and no issues with any of them.

haha, I am sure 99.99% of the world won't notice or care. But here? We have to have something to post about, you know!

I am appreciating the chatter about the water cooling kits, guys. I didn't know who OEM'd those units, and mistakenly thought they were being developed in house at those respective companies.

Actually, I wonder if an H100 would fit in my CM 690 v1? A new system sounds nice

In a week or so, I'll have Indigo Xtreme to go with it and see if it's all they claim.

Nh 14 is about half the price

but you're using h100 as well

I managed to pop one of the mounting studs on the h100 while messing with it. For now, since my mount is pretty poor, I'm running stock until the replacement mounts arrive from corsair. <sigh> $23 and a week or more from over-zealous tightening.


I "repaired" it with a screw and nut, but I can't get the mount exactly right without the exact right stud. It's hitting 67C even stock with IBT now.
