Everything is good. I just hate not having something major like my son's school taken care of. And there is so much paperwork to transfer schools. I have never dealt with so much red tape. Stuff like that gets to me. Just email the piece of paper! No...we need you to make 14 different trips to random buildings to talk to people who can't help.

Oh..did I mention that I'm going into a major project at work? I get to teach myself how to BGA solder memory upgrades into our machines. Zero documentation to go off of. Oh...and 2 other major projects the company has invested almost $20k in rely on me being able to do this?

Check out the pump manufacturers websites if you haven't done so already. Some of them offer financial assistance. Going through a similar thing with my dad. He is 80 with no insurance (didn't elect medicare part B when he retired) and his meds run about $900/month. Took some legwork, but we were able to get them down to ~$100/month by taking advantage of some programs.

Her mom was like she is. Her dad and I are lot, lot alike. He raised her as a single dad pretty much all her life. Him and I get along fine, as do her brother and I. She is just...strange.

I'm sorry but you are doing it wrong. If she is not contributing her share or even willing to give a LITTLE effort with her child, I'm sorry but take her as to court and get government involved.

yes he has type 1. He was diagnosed when he was 4, started on the insulin pump a little over a year later. He is doing great as far as that goes.

And please don't think that I'm saying I can't afford his pump. That's not it at all. Its just another straw on the camel's back. I hate paperwork. I hate red tape. In my mind they send me a bill, I pay it, they send me a pump and all is good. But its not that easy. I don't know why. Its not like someone is going to ask to pay $4-6k for something they don't need.

But I guess that's big government for you. I can't have what my son needs without 15 pounds of paperwork.
