tell me about it. NY pizza is going the way of the dodo bird. No real good pizza places in manhattan unless you want to spend 30 bucks on a pie. When I lived in queens in the late 60s and 70s you could get 2 slices of excellent pizza and a can of soda for a buck. Now, mediocre pizza is like 2.50 a slice. I dont think they even use real mozzarella anymore. Or olive oil. When I crave good pizza I go to brooklyn.

Those sandwiches have always looked nauseating to me. I love a good pastrami sandwich, but two tiny pieces of bread with a mountain of salty meat crammed in-between does not a good sandwich make, no matter how tasty that meat is.

I remember a place in lydhurst NJ that made a fantastic pastrami. They also had a unique salad bar where everything was pickled. O worked nearby at the time and they had a 2lb pastrami sandwhich and me and a co-worker made a $100 to see who would win by eating either all of it or at least most of it. I won by eating it all, but man, I had a sodium headache for days. Man, I love pastrami.

Meh, it was way lined up when I went by it a few months ago; did not look worth it. I would much rather have the one Ns1 posted above. Now that looks like an awesome sandwich.

Smoked this about a month ago. Med rare roast beef, melted in your mouth, so deliciously good. I've done pastrami before and love it, but had never smoked roast beef. My kids said it was better than candy.

They make corned beef and pastrami, so you can get a ruben version with either. Make their own coleslaw too that goes perfectly on the sandwich.

I'm a huge foodie and will drive an hour north to get one on a weekend
