I've been living under a rock -- what's the deal with ECS motherboards?

I'm still living (dying?) in SS7 land so looking up mainboards hasn't been a priority for me, but I've seen several threads about wanting to buy ECS boards. Why are they so hot right now? Someone please clue me in so one day, I can escape this place.

K7S5A is a nice Athlon board, uses the SiS 735 chipset.

I have one and like it, others seem to like it too.

Yeah, like jeremy said, they are a very nice, fast, stable, and dirt cheap mobo. 65 bucks is damn good for a mobo. It's the fastest athlon platform now and I think the only sis735 board out.

Their opular right now pretty much solely and only because of the K7S5A.
It's the fastest Athlon chipset presently available for purchase and ECS is one of the very few motherboard manufacturers making a board based upon it.
Also the price of the board is astoundingly low.

Yep, K7S5A is a good board. But, ECS boards are very good in general. They don't oc at all, but if u need or want a inexpensive, Stable, High Performing board. Look no further than ECS. They're the #1 maunufacturer right now (yes ahead of Asus for the moment)

SIS, ECS and PcChips are making a killing right now.

ECS planned it just perfect. They came out with the fastest AMD chipset with more than a month of pure leadership in performance.

I think the only mistake they made was underestimating how the demand for the chipset would be.

I believe they could have charged atleast $90.00 for a mobo but instead the end user got lucky. hehe
