30 minutes of work is a big day?
You are clueless, lazy and retarded.
Your name does speak for itself. If you're serious, interviews are very stressful and I would not recommended having more than one a day regardless if its phone, Skype, google hangout etc.
maybe if you have a real job. but he has all the time in the world.
only way i would not do more than 1 interview a day would be if i was working already and needed time off for the interview.
but phone interviews/screens? pffft. i did like 2-3 a day when i was looking for a new job. i would just walk out of the building and go walk around on the phone talking to companies.

Haha, I was going to post this exact thing earlier, but unlike trident I have a job and literally had a busy day!
Another interview today. Just a hr screener though.
I'm not exactly getting lots of interviews, guys. Like I said before finding jobs I am eligible for and then getting responses to my resume has been super hard.
Maybe your resume sucks. Are you bothering with a cover letter? Are you customizing both for the specific job you are applying for?
My guess is that something in one of those documents is really hurting you.
Of course if you fix that and get the actual interviews, then it will just be you hurting you and it won't matter so there you go.
Or the fact that he has no experience, doesn't have a CS degree and is only applying to top tier jobs?
I know he's banned, but Motf Bane just graduated from college. He worked his way through school, took shitty part time jobs he hated and busted his ass on side projects that he got paid nothing to do. He got his CS degree and had plenty on his resume from the free work he did and didn't depend on welfare to get through college.
He just graduated and already has 2 very solid offers, not interviews. The fact is that TridentLGBT fucked off, is lazy and has no drive.

What's your deal with "TridentLGBT"? Sexual orientation has absolutely nothing to do with his BS.

My biggest issue is the lack of responses to my resume. Sure, I get some. It is still ~10% overall. It's not enough though because I can't find enough jobs to apply for these days. It's very very very difficult.
My resume sucks. That's the single biggest issue I'm facing. Although it's an in demand field, it's clear that my resume is lacking whatever employers seek in terms of wording/formatting/something. I'm lacking interviews which I would get if I had a decent resume. I cannot seem to land almost any. I'm averaging one response from a company every two weeks or so. It's pretty dismal.
I think I found your problem. Maybe take another 5 months and try to fix your resume. Or drive your car off the Grand Canyon as you've suggested. You pick.

Yawn..
Thread getting boring.
Please see post #208. Or let me just copy it here because you're a lazy fuck.
It seems the resume itself is lacking the content that employers want. I've posted versions of it here and gotten reviews of it elsewhere. Format wise, it's fine. Language wise, it's also fine. It's the lack of internships and job experience that is hindering.

That is why you need to start small, you have to start at a shitty job, may be too late for an internship type position. Start at a help desk job so you can put something your resume. If you're shooting for a 70k job with zero work experience, you're destined to fail. My friend use to work as a recruiter, he reviewed a ton of resumes a day, he spends at most 30 seconds per resume, sometimes even 15 if it lacks any job experience or he doesn't find the keywords that he is looking for. Goes straight in the trash. What's really hindering you is that you have a fantasy view of what you deserve in the current job market, you are not a special snowflake. In fact, right now compared to others, you're a pretty shitty snowflake.
Your target should be a 40k entry level position that isn't exactly what you want to do. Once you get your foot inside the company and show that you can actually do work, then you can slowly transition to better positions when they open. Large companies usually offer open positions intra-company first, ahead of time so you can submit an employee self-assessment. That's why my company does.
Yeah, you get job experience by working entry level jobs.
