Here's my schedule from the past 3 days:

6:45-2:16: School
2:20-5:30: Rehearsal Pianist for musical
6:00-11:00: Pianist for auditions for another musical for another theatre company
11:15-whenever: homework

God I'm tired. Luckily, the auditions for the the second theatre company are now done, and I don't have to worry about them again til late April. Some things have been slightly different, for example instead of the first musical rehearsal yesterday, I had a 3-hour recording session for an audition tape.

And, I've been sick on top of it all. I've never been so tired...I'm gonna go to bed now.

[/bitch and moan]

Yup, it's H.S.

Cmin7, your name wouldn't happen to be the abbreviation of a C Minor seventh chord, would it? Explain.

not for nothing, but cry me a river. at least i'll give you props for working hard. good things usually come from lots of hard work. the most i've ever worked was 90 hours at work for a week, straight work, i'm out of school. after 9/11, my friend worked 120 hours a week for a couple of weeks (that's all 7 days). so yes, it might or might not get worse.

my schedule for the past couple of weeks has been 8-1 college, 2-(10 to 1)

Last week, I worked 52 hours. As luck would have it, I also had finals that week

Welcome to the real world. It won't get any better when you get out of high school. You're just getting a taste of it earlier than most of us did!

However, I do applaud you for what seems like an excellent work ethic. That is very hard to find these days, especially in younger people. It will help you attain your life goals, believe me!

I don't know anybody, regardless of age, who works 18 hour days...

What do you think your avatar symbolises, JohnJohn320? It sure does reflect your true life. Take a few to ponder on it all and see how you could better manage your time. I would hate to hear of a break-down. . . .

Well, things are letting up a bit now...no break-downs planned. I don't know how I could possibly manage the time better though, I have to be at these places for these times. My avatar, however, is a computer nerd, which has nothing to do with my music job(s). But, I imagine you were talking about the stress/nerves.

I don't know where you went to high school...but where I'm at, especially with all honors classes, high school is no picnic...

"but where I'm at, especially with all honors classes, high school is no picnic... "

ooh honors classes </mock amazement>

Honors classes are a joke, even AP classes. Seeing as your average AP class typically covers material at half the rate of college classes and with more teacher support, they're not that hard.

Hey I thought high school was hard too before I graduated, but with age comes perspective.

Bingo. The whole point of an AP course is that it is a college course, college credit, etc. My sister, who went to the same high school I'm going to now and is now in college at the University of Illinois, tells me that yes, the AP courses are a pretty accurate representation of what to expect from college courses.

Maybe you should open your eyes and realize that there's a whole world out there outside of your town and your school, and that things might be different at other places. Think about that before you go mocking a high school student for having to work really hard to get through school.

You all need to relax. I know very, very few people who are at a constant state of unrest for 16+ hour days. That's a lot, I don't care how old you are.

GREAT!!! Now you are ready for an exciting job in military medicine. No change in hours whatsoever. I wish i could have had the foresight you have and prepared earlier.
