I wonder if that 55c was using core temp or TAT...if so that wouldn;t be too bad...I would have to see the swing from idle to load in temps though...

im using asus probe it been pretty accurate. less accurate temps with coretemp alot found.

i unplugged the power from the pelltier to pci card while it still running and temps immediately started to climb.

Who is a lot? I wouldn't trust anything that asus probe puts out...It has historically been understated for years...

Have you tried TAT or the program called Rightmark?

intel put the DTS inside the chips...There is no caliburation for Asus to fvck with, manipulate, or basically screw up....It should be a no-brainer

the probe may be right, but I would trust if you gave me core temp temps...55c idle and it doesn't change for 400-500mhz?? i dont think so. There is a sign not to trust that right there.

So the TEC cooler is temperature sensitive..how much has the rpm of the fan increased to hold the 55c idle temp for 500mhz? if the fan has increased soo much it may not have much left to handle it under load

i actually use akasa fan controller temp probes. theres 4 to put in different areas of your case and it matches the asus. users have had inaccuracies with both. look on any forum theres some wildly misreported temps with coretemp i know not to trust asus temps on all boards but i been confident. on this occasion i used hardware probes and had them in the case at all times and been like for like. its all about what works for you. my friend and i have used coretemp and we both had readings 5-10c over. this agrees with what i seen on the web. the fans are running at a constant 1500 rpm.

the main thing i wanted to do was prove to the negative old skool tec/wc users that the titan does the job. ok so it puts out more than the claimed 60w on the box on load.

I get difference in my 2 S3 and 1 DS3 mobos...That doesn't mean much cause the motherboard's temperatures are famous for being inaccurate even across the same board type...They calibrate their temps....

So dont worry what the difference is...It is likely much more correct then Asus...

hell I won't lie...here in FL with the ambients being what they are my 3.4Ghz E6400 idles up at 50+c it basically does what it wants to. It doesn't error or throttle so if the temps are wrong so be it.

If you think that the temperatures inside of your processor aren't 10-12C higher than the temp sensor that's underneath your processor, that means you know absolutely nothing about processors.

edit: And I never believe anything online, without a screenshot. I believe most of us forum users feel the same.

I was referring to his claims, not you (just to be sure no misunderstandings)

I know, but I just like to point out that it's possible to have high temps...nothing you can do about it sometimes.

Where can I buy one?
Newegg has them, among others. Well, newegg had them about a month ago, I haven't checked lately.

The Amanda costs something like $90-$100, while a good water kit (prebuilt or custom) will run more than that.

Well, it has been almost a week since you originally posted this. I understand you might sit in front of your PC 24/7, but six days should be enough time to post some screen shots. It's not that time consuming...
