Well, I'm taking a UNIX class this semester and I got this absolutely horrible professor... I mean I've had some bad teachers over the years but I've never complained about them... but this one, he's frickin crazy.
This is what he said on the first day of class... and I quote:
"Lady and Gentlemen, the secret of life is understanding the UNIX.. yes, everything in UNIX is filesystem."
He then went on to comparing studying unix to finding gold in california or something....
50% of the students dropped after the first class. He speaks with this really really really horrible accent that is completely uncomprehensible (he's from the former soviet union)
This guys is extremely arrogant, I pointed out a couple of errors in the lecture slides and he lashes out at me. It took him about 10 minutes to understand what I was talking about and another 10 minutes to figure the error out himself and then he says that he emailed me the correction (which is BS)... all this in front of the whole class. He later then said that I insulted him when I told him that the lecture slide was confusing me and put me on the spot several times.
And to top it off, he gives us homework which has almost nothing to do with what he covers in class (although what he covers in class is impossible to understand).
I should have listened to all those ratings on ratemyprofessor.com before I signed up...
