ok, i have a chance for a good deal on the nec 1700v...but i cant find comprehensive reviews anywhere..(believe me ive looked..)
i basically need to know how it handles 'non 5:4' resolutions, so that movies and games can be watched without weird stretching (, for example, how will it handle 1024x768, 800x600...and does it stretch to full screen only, or can i sortof 'letter box' it so ill lose some screen size but at least have my 4:3 ratio preserved...)
also, refresh for games?...im not a hardcore gamer but i do play once in a while...im more concerned about movies than anything else really..
eitherway, i need to know about the pixel refresh on the thing.. i know its rated at 40ms, but ive seen rvewis of screens with 40ms that are good, and reviews of screens rated at 30 or thatarent so good...so i want an opinion from people who actually use it.
also, veiwing angle?..how would it look in a darkened room from like 6-8 feet away? for movies i mean, basically..but with a couple of friends, so angles is kinda important....but i guess if im sitting that far away maybe it wont be that bad since (with a little trig from high school..) if im like 7 feet away, even a little off to the side, the angle wont be even close to the 60 degree angle (or whetever it is)
anyway, im dont blabbing...any info appreciated, i need to decide fast too...
