..except this one guy who would not take no for an answer. Basically he wanted something done that was disallowed by policy. He didnt like the policy and argued and argued and argued and argued. Took a drink of water and a deep breath, then argued and argued and argued. Every answer was met by a "why?".

After explaining 75 different ways (for over an hour) why we werent going to do it, he realized I wouldnt budge and wanted to talk to the vice president. He got the VP to give in. Got me so mad. :|

But otherwise, whats the big deal.

not liking them revolves around their religion and choice to keep to themselves as a culture and stay in a general area. it's not a personal thing, but religion essentially caused the initial hatred.

i have no animosity towards them, probably because i cannot stand religions and thus they are just another culture to me. anything today though is merely remnants of yesteryear, at least as far as our culture (the american culture) goes. some cultures may generally have true hatred toward them still.

At least there aren't any Jews out there pressuring me into accepting Jesus Christ as my saviour...

Difference of culture. I guess he was a big agressive, but from what I know, traditionally, Jews are raised up (in jewish school, parenting, temple, etc) to produce a counterargument to any argument. That way, you get the whole picture...

Just my 2 cents

Messianic Jews believe in Jesus

After the Jews reclaimed Jerusalem, thousands of Jews began believing in Jesus. They recognized that the prophecy in the New Testament Scripture had been fulfilled. Hence the name, Messianic Jews.

People don't like Jews for the same basic reason people have any hate of an entire group different from themselves: Scapegoat-ism.

By blaming "those people" for their failures, a person absolves themselves of all responsibility for their own failures.

All minorities, political parties, religions and even business/corporations in the US have been victims of this.

So, the guy is a stubborn ass who can't take no for an answer. What does being a Jew have to do with this?

If he was Black or Irish or Arab or Asian would you have posted this? I think it is you who doesn't like Jews.

And if they were Black or Irish or Arab or Asian or atheist would have I asked why some people do not like them? Yes. Hatred for the Jews is legendary and curiousity begged the question.

Thats true. I was watching the History Channel today on the formation of the Jewish state and how they persevered because they were promised by God to have a homeland one day.

He was a man who argued effectively and happened to be Jewish. Was he a good "arguer" because he was Jewish? One has already claimed so, but I wouldnt know otherwise.

Well, to be fair, certain groups do have traits which brings more hate on them than other groups.

This thread confuses me.... are we supposed to be discussing the mistreatment of jews throughout history? or are we supposed to be discussing this guy who argued alot and got what he wanted contrary to what you wanted?

It wasnt contray to what I wanted, it was contrary to policy that would have cost us alot of money to allow him to do. In the end I guess the VP decided we just wanted to keep the business, but that wasnt my call to make.

This is also a multifaceted topic, feel free to contribute in your own way.

1) Can't blame a guy who gets what he wants...

2) The fact that he was a jew is 100% irrelevant

3) people hate the jews because they're jealous... we're so much better looking than all of you goyim

I've always kind of liked Jews because I could relate to many of them.

They had parents who used guilt to get their kids to do things.

They generally stick to themselves and tried not to bother others.

They are generally very successful.

On Christmas Day, they go and eat at our restaurants.

Charlie Chan's son married a Jewish girl so that influenced me to think that I might have had a better chance with a Jewish girl when I was very young.

Stuff like that....

Let's be honest with ourselves here, some stereotypes stick for a reason.

It's pretty well known that Jewish people have a certain way about them. For some reason, it's perfectly acceptable to describe that characteristic in a show such as Seinfeld, and everyone will nod in agreement because they know it's true, but on the flipside if you say it in a negative tone, people will play dumb and deny that such a characteristic exists.

Jewish people are pushy. Get over it.

Now, most people on these kiddie-dominated forums will programmatically reply with "oh no, you're a nazi" when they hear something like this, but I believe that one should be able to talk about reality, even if it's politically incorrect, without fear of the PC police attacking you.

Now, this is not a reason to hate them, or blame them, but most are brought up that way.

*Please don't drag the thread into the gutter. I was blasted for my "zionist" views in previous threads when I voiced my support for Israel mopping up those that hate them in the middle east, but then at the same time people will claim the exact opposite in another thread. It's one of those topics that some people cannot handle in moderation. They have to be fanatic about it.
