I could swear that I've read getting too much protein is not beneficial to you. I seem to recall that when wanting to gain mass you want to get about 25% more grams of protein than you weigh in lbs (so for 160lbs it would be 200g) and that you want to get about twice as much carbs as protein.

I get blood tests every 6 months to monitor my health. I also drink ALOT of water. My kidney values have never been high. I normally double my weight in protein ie. 320 grams. I wanted to try something different. I had success with this. But only did it for 3 months.

Eh? I'm serious. Eight meals is way too much.

Its not about the amount of meals. Its about the Macros and cals. You can eat 3 meals a day and pull in 6000 calories with some of the food at our disposal. ie. fast food

Keep in mind these meals are not large at all. Ive seen people down a half to a whole pizza and they count it as one meal.

It is overkill for someone who doesnt care. This is for someone who is trying to pack on lean mass.

I would go crazy eating that crappy food. I'm glad I don't have problems losing or gaining weight.

Yeah, I forgot to really think about that.

Everyone's bodies are different, and will react to things differently. Never hurts to try something new to see how your body handles it (both in weigh lifting and nutrition). Granted I'm talking about things that you know are healthy, not unknowns or the shadier side of supplements.

Do you use a cheat day? Its another variable that is really beneficial for some people, but others it just sets them back. I definitely need a cheat day, and I've also noticed my body reacts to it well. I just need to get more serious about my fitness, as I take one too many cheat days.

Well you answered my question before I could ask it.

sounds like someone is staring down protein poisoning. Check protein supplements for unhealthy additives.

Yeah, I used to be strict about my diet and it definitely paid off. Once I got to college thigs kinda fell apart there. It hasn't been all bad though, as I've put on quite a bit of muscle compared to before (but by no means do I have big muscles). The problem is I've also put back on a bunch of fat.

I'm slowly working to get back into a stricter diet, and will hopefully push myself harder as far as exercising goes. As of now I don't have any particular goals, just to find a healthier lifestyle that is more maintainable.

Have you tried tapering your carb/protein intake like I mentioned? Go heavier carbs and ligher protein earlier in the day, gradually working towards a balance, and then ligher carbs and heavier protein as the day goes on.

Ah, just remembered one of the side effects of excessive protein consumption. Do you get bad cramps? I remember that if you get too much protein that its harder for your body to digest and that it often leads to bad cramping.

As you wish. I dont understand why you have to call me a midget and say I am stroking myself. I never claimed anything about myself in this thread. Almost sounds personal.

Hmm, well I myself am a 5'4 Daigo at about 145 pounds, depending on water retention. I'm also a relatively high bodyfat, I'd estimate about 20%. I'm just starting carb-cycling to see if I can cut my BF% down. Any recommendations? I'd like to still make strength/size gains.

Here's mine:

Meal 1

16 oz milk
2 scoops whey
1 tbsp natural PB
2/3 cup oats

Meal 2 & 3

homeade protein bars - basically the same ingrediants as above, but formed into bars like a brownie - these are convenient to take to school because they are real easy to eat.

Meal 4 - post workout

2 scoops whey
1 scoop dextrose
5g creatine

Meal 5 - dinner

some lean meat
potato
vegetables

Meals 6 and 7

same ingrediants as #1, but with different proportions of ingrediants

This adds up to 4400 cals, 40% protein, 40% carbs, and 20% fats. This is my bulking diet, and it works pretty well, considering I have been training hard for 2.5 years now and have outgrew my n00b gains stage. I started at 6' 170 lbs, currently 230 but with slightly higher bodyfat.

Combine this diet with a solid routine and I guarantee you will see results. You might have to tweak the total calories a bit though. Everyone has a different metabolism.

Looks pretty good. And most importantly, it works for you.
