Selling my i5-2500k once I confirm it's ok, probably going to buy a TZ77XE4 Sunday night since you won't sell me yours now that you know it OC's better than the Max V Gene

Then I'll return that and get a 8150 for $250 even though it will be slower than the cheaper i5-3570k in probably just about everything.

I was reading the cpu/gpu with the correct z77 m/b. display outputs can run 3 monitors. That's a cool feature right there.

Outlet PC is giving me the run around on getting an RMA. Never again. Newegg or no one. Thankfully i had an Intel NIC laying around.

Plus i like this board. Room for 3 slot coolers is actually very rare these days.

Any difference in OC between it and the Max V Gene you got?

Yeah SLI + PhysX, not too bad for a $150 board with 13 phase power :twisted:

Maximus V needed more Vcore for overclocking. Both hit 5Ghz, Asus bios is better but its not worth the 50 dollars more IMO

As I said I was looking at an Extreme6 but they got a 300Mhz higher 5200 vs 4900 overclock out of the biostar board (with an i7-2600k)..

If it sucked bro i would tell you to stay away but like i said the only issue i've had is the NIC. Hell it might not be an issue. I may just have changed a bios function by mistake

However Haswell in 2013 is going to give the Ivy Bridge a body shot... Haswell will be new technology , sorta how we went from Pentium 4 to a Core 2 series. thx gl
