I've done my part to dilute the "pureness" out of my family (not that it was my goal or anything). I see a lot of "mixed" couples these days, and it's great. You listen to racist Magas and their heroes too much, you tend to forget an awful lot of people have learned to see past skin tones.

I would be interested to hear what 'pure white' is as well, especially considering Germans, Italians, and Irish used to not be considered 'white'. Was someone who was not 'pure white' in 1800 pure white now because the definition changed?

I've been monitoring the weirdness meter of the GOP ever since weirdness became their stock in trade due to Trump being their role model to follow in that regard and I have to say they're pegging the needle on it more and more often and it directly reflects what's happening on their desperation meter in how closely they mimic each other. The results of their desperation and weirdness manifests itself in higher and higher levels of both. It started with how the Democrats had ruined the nation under Obama and Biden without any physical evidence of such and instead historical fact finding has proven that there is a preponderance of evidence that proves just the opposite had happened.

Well here we are today just a few months away from the upcoming generals and as sure as the proverbial bear shits in the woods, the Republicans have stirred themselves up into another morass of self-serving lies, jaw dropping false accusations and hoax conspiracy dramas in order to again justify their fascist lurch toward this weird religiously infected authoritarian state with Trump as their figure head Dictator-in-Chief. The Republicans keep redefining the word "weird" to something much more worse every time Trump take to the stump and literally stumps himself stupid.

The right's obsession with children (having them not taking care of them) is rooted in their belief that non-white and/or non-conservative people are out breeding them and as a result will command more political power in the future at their expense.

This is why they sound so deeply weird when talking about people needing to have kids. Not because it's good for society the economy, and demographic stability but because future Republican politicians will need their votes.

It's not exclusively about race and whiteness, though, is it? JD Vance surely falsifies that idea?

Seems like, when it comes to elite rich guys, it's a much more personal kind of narcissism and self-regard than that. It's not about producing more 'white' children, just producing more people with _their_ particular genes, which they seem to believe must be intrinsically superior. They want a future world full of their descendants, for reasons of pure egotism, transcending even racism or other ideologies.

The peculiar twist is how often they seem to end up completely estranged from their offspring. Maybe their kids hating them doesn't matter to them, as long as their precious genes are still out there?
