JandR customer service is very rude

Hi guys,

Here is my experience I got this morning when I asked price adjustment form my purchase of Elura 50 from JandR.
I spend $569 for my purchase.

This morning (Saturday Dec13, 2003) I called JandR customer service to ask for price matching but oh boy I experience the worst customer service I ever found, I also spoke with the manager in charge this morning and he is very rude, He is not only refuse my request to price match ($60)but also threaten me if I did not accept his offer which is $30 price adjustment and $10 store credit I could return my camcorder and does not need to buy from jandr again.

The reason he refuse my request is really absurd and it seems that jandr did whatever possible not to do price match (the other store cost is below our jandr cost ? well how am I supposed to know how much is jandr store cost for the item and the second one the store is not authorized dealer well I called the store and they said they are).

Well because the Christmas is very near and I don?t have anymore time to buy gift for my wife I accept his offer.

I already filed a complaint with BBB. if anybody has email address for JandR owner of higher position people I will really appreciate it so I can let them now how they CSR treat their customer.

What is the company you tried to PriceMatch to? I've had good luck with J&R Customer Service in the past.

No joke. I stayed with my friend just north of NYC in 2000. I tried to order a pizza and ordered a "Supreme". He starts spouting off about how it's called an 'Ultra" or some crap like that.

I was also a good 30% larger than everyone else there. We went to the mall and it was like going to an elementary school.

What can I say? My friend and I were talking about it. He's 6'3", I'm 6'2". Most of the people there were under 6" and skinny.

It was in a mall in a town called New Paltz, IIRC.

yeah, their customer service sucks. i've been shopping there since i was in HS like 10 years ago... i don;t go there often, and there are deals to be found in the store though.
