I never understood the krispy kreme craze. They were okay but nothing spectacular.

man, kriskpy kreme donuts are incredible! Too bad they cost a ton. MY high school had some deal with them where we got them at cost for a bunch of stuff for fun raising and the like, and there were times I ate 10-20 donuts in a row (and subsequently felt sick, but its totally worth it).

Krispy Kreme are good hot off the line, otherwise they are just OK. Find a good mom & pop shop (incredible one in Beaver Falls, PA while I was on vacation) and you will get a better doughnut.

thats disgusting... I can barely eat 4 regular donuts in one sitting.... let alone extra sweet kk donuts.

It's a failure on the public school systems part for helping to create life long fatties.

Funny thing about Krispy Kreme, they are unbelievable marketers. They get everything in place for the opening of a franchise store so you have lines around the corner. But the interesting thing is once the buz dies down, the stores have a hard time turning a profit. I believe both stores in the Fargo area closed or are up for sale for this reason. A few of the stores in the Minneapolis area are having a hard time of it. There was an article in the paper a couple of years ago about the crazy of Krispy Kreme and looked at the long term business and how once the initial rush is over, the business fails.

They aren't as filling as normal donuts. I used to have one nearby but they closed it down. Everyone who worked there were not just fat, they were enormous.

I used to love Krispy Kremes, although I haven't had a donut of any kind for going on a decade now.

Like the other posters have mentioned, though, the KK stores I knew of in GA have been closing down fairly frequently. The only place now that I know of where KK is regularly available would be QuikTrip gas stations.

Those donuts are great during "hot now" but nothing special afterwards.

I had a friend who worked at krispy kreme and we would get a lot of the defective ones for free.
