Japanese IME on Windows XP? how?

Hi,

i'm tryig to find a Japanese input method program for Windows XP, but doing a search on microsoft.com yields only stuff for Office XP, which i don't have. i'm running Office 2000

i tried installing these, but it didn't work either

Download Microsoft Global IME 5.02 for Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows NT 4.0

Install Microsoft Global IME 5.02 for 32-bit Windows



those 2 didn't work. Any ideas? does one even exist for winxp w/out office xp?

I think the Global IME in XP is automatic, or at least with office 2k, you can install it from the office cd. I might be wrong. I'll check when I get back home.

Control Panel | Regional and Language Options | Languages Tab. If you pick the checkbox for Install files for East Asian languages, does that do what you need? You may have to also configure some of the IME details.
