If you're new to Jpop, you have to ease into the ultra perky, cute, high pitched stuff. Start off with groups that have some English lyrics like the The Brilliant Green (girl with a sorta raspy voice fronts the band), Love Psychedelico (female vocals, very un-Jpop, much more American), and Move (did the Initial D intros and endings .. sorta fast paced, techno, has cool Jap 'rap' and female vocals). Then move onto the more popish main streamers like BoA, Utada Hikaru, and Ayumi Hamasaki. Then get into the more sugary stuff and before you know it, you'll have posters of all the members of Morning Musume hanging on your wall! ^^ (I haven't progressed that far yet)

I only like Utada (Americanized) and BoA (Koreanized).

Boa is korean, she's more like korean being japanized

BoA is both kpop and jpop. For korean stuff she is with smtown, for the jp stuff she is with avex. oh yeah, she sings in "engrish" too sometimes. -_- hehe

You...like... Japanese Pop?

Yeah I like it. I was meant to be Asian but I turned out White.

Wow...I'm the exact opposite

You're a bananna! Yellow on the outside, white on the inside.

Come to think about it, Twinkie would work too.

Yeah I know BoA is Korean, but her Japanese music is fairly Koreanized. Not as hyper as most Japanese music and she actually sings, instead of a chipmunk synthetic voice. Though theres a pretty obvious difference from her Korean songs and her Japanese songs.

Oh yeah, I listen of a few anime soundtracks, but thats just about it for Japanese music.

I'm not so much into JPOP but I'm really into KPOP.

If you have newsgroups (UseNet) access, there are groups to suit your needs.

Namie Amuro is one singer my friend listened to. Personally, I don't listen to that much Jpop.

Unless you like gloating that you're stuffed with cream filling, stick with the banana.

BoA's engrish is a language unto its own, man oh man. I know I'm supposed to understand it but I just can't.

BoA's english songs make me want to cry... from pain. Thought her song w/ Westlife is fairly nice.

And speaking of BoA....
BoA > Britney

Britney in that Korean dress seems wrong.

EDIT: And yeah BoA's engrish is painful. In fact all Asian singer's English is terrible. Except Utada, that dude from Fly to The Sky, and that girl from M.I.L.K.
