This is a REALLY great deal. I love Sun's Java. The website documentation is wonderful as is the language. Once you start using it you can use all your C++ knowledge in a more uniform and refined way...really nice. Get on this guys.

Yeah, I've taken the Certification test. In my opinion it is overrated now to be certified. The test costs around $300 if I remember correctly. A year to 2 years ago it was the big thing to be certified. There is a link on the Sun Website on how to register, but I'm too lazy to find in right now. Just search for Certification on the Sun's Java Page and you should be able to find out how to register pretty easily.

The certification test is now $150.

You have to get 61% or better to pass. I really like http://www.javaranch.com. They've got a lot of good stuff about learning java, sample tests, forums and lots of exam stuff.
