1). Got a google form
2). Has a bunch of stuff, including a bunch (16-ish) select drop downs
3). Each select has 3 options "default" (nothing), option A and option B
4). You're only allowed to pick 4 of either option A or B. The rest have to be default
5). Simple way of enforcing this, either in pure Google forms, or in pre/post JS?

Thanks!

HTML structure approval should be possible by a JavaScript. On the off chance that a structure field (fname) is vacant, this capacity alarms a message, and returns false, to keep the structure from being submitted.Regularly, the motivation behind information acceptance is to guarantee right data to a PC application. Acceptance can be characterized by a wide range of routines, and sent in various ways.

There is no simple way of enforcing this.

If it's google spreadsheet, you can do custom cell validations.

If it's HTML, you can use javascript to validate data AND use your backend to further validate.

what happens if they have 4 of them selected, then they change a 5th one? does it reset one of the random first 4?

Doesn't matter, I guess. What matters is when they hit submit, something checks the length of the "how many of these are set" array, and if it's > 4, either doesn't let you submit, or shows you the form again with an alert saying you screwed up.

I didn't realize this question was ambiguous (I guess "Google Forms" -- by which I mean, uh, google forms: https://www.google.com/forms/about/ -- wasn't clear enough, even).

Anyway, I'll ask on SO or puzzle it out myself.

Last time I used Google forms, which was a few years ago, you could submit any data you wanted for the values. There was no validation to prevent this.
