I have a question. When I ordered the drive it said opn on my confirmation, and later the email sent to me. The website explicitly stated that if it says if it says opn on the confirmation page that it will ship. I have not recieved an email canceling my order, but I goto their website and it says the item is cbo. I also recieved a email statign that the item was opn.

See, my dilema is I missed out on a bunch of other offers because there was no reason for me to expect the item to not be shipped it said it right on the page if I get opn it will cbo, it wont. It says cbo when I goto track my order, and the item has not shipped so I don't believe I will be getting this item. I am stuck because they really shafted me here I don't really even care about the $50 rebate. I just want the drive. Should I raise holy hell in attempt to get a different drive at a reasonable price if they cannot ship the item. It's not like it said cbo in the confirmation page or e-mail they sent me. Is Office max usualy acomodating in instaces like this?

OfficeMax? Noooooo...they're one of the worst places to get anything. Some individual store managers might substitute a similar drive, but I would be surprised if Officemax.com does so.

Ordered 1 after getting their advertisement in my email on Friday Morning around 7am. Took me about 20 minutes to find a coupon to use (5.00 dollars off) and placed order. They gave me a delivery date on the 27th and it arrived today around 5pm (S California). Thanks for the deal.

Erm, to each his/her own, didn't mean to offend.

Regarding the drives, 2 did indeed come today, the last one suspended in limbo land. Probably half way to backorder heaven ... oh well.

I had to cancel my order because they were going to ship the mouse and paper clips and charge me, then not ship the drives, and say the coupon is now invalid. I did not want to spend $25 on a mouse and paper clips so that's that. Oh well.

And I still think Jaymee Ong is not hot. And, man, what a weird name.

Just got my burner today! So how do I know what drive I have? Device manager list it as an Iomega.

Also, can't seem to get CDR-Win to recognize the drive. EZCD and Nero recognize it just fine.

I went online and ordered 2 drives. Called a CSR and she said that my orders will not ship cuz they are on back order and OM will not be getting anymore. Naturally, I was pissed but that's okay. I went to 3 different B&M OM stores. None of them had a 12x drive (they would not pricematch a 16x drive).
I thought I lucked out and missed this deal.
I went shopping with my girlfriend in a mall that we've never been in before. Near the mall, there was an OM! Just to test my luck, I went in and found the 12X drive with a couple of tags left (means they have some in stock!). They checked their inventory and brought out 2 boxes. To my surprise, one was a 16X! heheh. but I didn't say anything. They did the pricematch and I got a 16X and a 12X drive. heheh...lucky

By the way, lots of ppl told me that Iomega will not honor the rebate when they see the price that you paid for it. Hope that's not gonna be the case. I want my 10 bucks! heheh

If the drive has a "TLA" number, there's a 99.99% chance it's a Plextor. If not, there's a 99.99% chance it's not.
