I first found out if they were in stock (they had a box on the shelf). When they said yes, I produced the web receipt and asked them to honor it. Took forever for them to decide to honor it, but they did.

I just got off the phone with a csr who said that, on the product's page, it said that if it was on back order your order would be cancelled, since the offer was limited to stock on hand -- I could've sworn I looked pretty carefully for something like that, but didn't see anything. Did anybody else see that note? Does anybody have a screenshot of the product page?

Yep...the csr is correct. It was stated in bold letters on the product page...

Good news bad news. Got a call from Fedex, they said they delivered a package to my apt manager's office yesterday afternoon, and I'm pretty sure the drives are the only package I'm waiting on (other than some stuff from Dell, but I had specified UPS ground on those). The bad news is that the office is locked up until Monday morning so I won't know for sure until then. Anyone that has received their drives already, which carrier does Office Max use?

My order says status code CAN, but it also says items have already been shipped (and all I ordered were the drives). I really don't know what to make of it, I'll find out on Monday.

it was pretty clear when we got in on the deal that if your order status said CBO then you arent getting it. despite what the order status date says. and it was written in big bold letters pretty clearly right next to the "add to cart" button.

Most definitely gay. The OfficeMax brick and mortars around here used to be nice stores about 10 years ago. Now they moved into holes in the wall, they have no more than 2 people ever working, they are dirty, and never have deals that work out (at least around here). I'm done with OfficeCrapx.

Folks something strange is going on here. I only placed an order for 2 items a paper shredder and the Iomega CDRW. When I check my order status it shows the Iomega as being cancelled but the paper shredder as being shipped and charges for the paper shredder only. When I check the UPS tracking number it shows two packages as being shipped? One package at 9 lbs and one at 15 lbs. This is bizarre but I can't think of anything it could be outside of the cdrw?
