I bet if I asked for all the demensions of every piece on a 350 chevy, we could get all the numbers within 2 minutes. It is not that hard. They usually relate.

Nice. They continued after '57, though. Best was the Paxton-supercharged R2 version, available in the Avanti :Q

ok, prove me right. Earlier I said memorizing engine numbers was easy.
lets see these dimensions from a chevy 350 engine:

Bore
stroke
deck height
rod length
journal diameter
valve size (what they are normaly enlarged to)
firing order
bore center to center (bonus)

Notfred can do a 5.0 if he does not know the chevy. I know he is a ford guy. Poor misguided soul.

Ford made lots of sizes of the Windsor V8 engine (289, 302, etc). What was the smallest?

Yet another question...this one is more up to date:

When you look at a turbo, each side has a number on it thats usually less than one (.xx). What are those numbers and what do they tell you?

firing order 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2
bore center to center (bonus)
4.4"???

Here's a bonus. 1967 350 rods had 11/32" bolts, 68 and later had 3/8" bolts

Took ya 1 minute more than I guessed it would. Everything is correct, except you forgot the exaust valve size . I figured deck height would be more well known then center to center. Oh well.

Ok, who knows the other 2? (exaust and deck height?)

1.60" on the exhausts.

No, I was off on the journal sizes. All 350s were 2.1". Earlier small blocks used 2.0" I was thinking of the '67-only 350 rods that used 11/32" bolts, not the '68-up 3/8" bolts.

Yeah, there's a 260....but it's not the smallest

Don't think there was a 271 Windsor, though.....

I would have to look it up, I won't, let somebody else take a guess at it, they had a small one around 1979 or 1980 or so

You're thinking of the 255. Still not the smallest!
