1973 GM full sized cars on the airbag

Good guess

Seatbelts

If the Tucker had gone into production, that date would have been 1947

Wow, I had no idea the airbag was that old. I would've guessed late eighties!

Bingo, that's the first production Super Sport

Anyone know the first time it was ever seen- on a concept vehicle in the late fifties?

Sounds about right.

Maybe out of turn, but what is a "goat"?
GTO or horned mammal with weird eyes.
What did GTO originally stand for?
Gran Turismo I believe
You have the "G" and the "T", but not the "O". Gran Turismo Omologato.

ZV

EDIT: And now a question to go with that, the early (pre-1985.5) Porsche 944 and the Stealth bomber share a common part. What is it?

4 speeds 4 barrels and 2 (dual) exhaust.
In 1966, the first '4' was transformed to mean '400ci' with the automatic trans.

(Thought I'd post a question to go along with my GTO answer.)

Why was it called the 225, you mean?
I'd guess it had a 225ci mill... no?

Edit:
Did a google to check my guess. Clearly this is not the case

225 was the overall length in inches. - I think that at that time it was the longest production American car.

You guys are off on the disc brakes. No American car had disc brakes in the 50s!

GM first had disc brakes on the Corvette in 1965. And 4-wheel discs too! And get this...there was a 'disc-brake delete' option in '65

Other GM models had discs available starting in 1967.
