Not a republican and not a Jeb supporter. He's doing bad because the republican base can't think for themselves. A lot of the exchanges between Jeb and Trump were won by Jeb if you look at it from an intellectual point of view. But the base is not intellectual. I actually feel bad for the guy because I can actually see his passion for wanting to make a difference, even though I don't agree with all his views. Trump will sit there, tell a blatant lie and people just flat out don't care. It says a lot about our population and reinforces my personal belief that most people are stupid. There's no room for rational discussion or reasoning for the republicans. It is all emotion and outrage right now, without much substance to go along with it.

He really should have waited 4 more election cycles. Americans are still suffering from the destruction left behind.

Still seems a bit soft in the head, not sure if he is capable of being a good president regardless, I am still Amazed we even elected his halfwit brother to begin with, and then a second term.

I don't think its that much of a stretch. Outside of possibly one candidate, I don't think a vote for any Republican for POTUS this cycle is rational or reasonable.

Romney was infinitely more electable than the current crop, and unless you are in one of the top brackets for income, voting Republican certainly isn't in your best interests. How is that rational or reasonable? It isn't.

Weren't you saying he'd be our next president Hugo?

The country is in Bush hate overload thanks to Iraq.

The only bush I see coming close to the Presidency is ironically W's daughter Barbara because she's a moderate liberal.

I'm still amazed Jeb was not prepared to say what he would have done differently than his brother. Hell even W had stuff he admitted he'd do differently

Of course. hundreds of millions have been invested in the Jeb! and all those investors are expecting a return and these guys are not fools.

What you are seeing is just a few technical glitches, and yes Jeb is as wooden as it gets, he is a bit soft in the head like his brother but in the end he is the perfect puppet president.

he will be out of stealth mode next week.

one investor wants his money back and speaks with the Campaign manager.

Trump has done this country a tremendous service by eviscerating Bush.

And that's the main reason the Republican machine hates Trump -- they saw in Bush another malleable puppet like his older brother and were licking there chops at the chance to run him like Cheney ran his brother. The last thing the RMachine want's is an independent thinker -- or a thinker at all...

Jeb's claims early in the campaign that he should be nominated because Washington was too full of insiders was pretty laughable. I don't think anyone bought for a second that he was an outsider or that he would have a staff made up of anyone outside the existing Bush circle.

In the polls... Trump is up, Rubio is up, Trump is down, Carson is up, Carson is down, Cruz takes a win, Cruz is down, Trump is back up, reminds me of watching the horses on a merry-go-round.
I still think it will come down to a fight between Rubio and Bush.
Establishment vs establishment.
Why?
Because the powers that be i.e. the RNC and Reince Priebus will have it no other way.
The only way Bush could fail is if he runs out of $$$. And I don't see that happening.
Once Carson drops out, Christie, and Cruz, watch for a resurgence from old Jeb.

Yes, a good point, that.

Except for Kasich, Bush might otherwise be the only candidate Democrats could stomach for winning the election.

But Bush now has an unfortunate name-brand. Not too different than a hypothetical in which Bernie Madoff is pardoned so he can start an investment firm named "Madoff Securities, Inc." No customers, ya see.

And, in fact, the same dilemma will hover above Democrat(ic) voters. I couldn't vote for Jeb, because he violates all my rules-of-thumb.

Now, I think that's a pretty fair assessment. And as much as I might want to appear objective, I don't think it departs from objectivity to agree that a good portion of Republican voters during this cycle are a bit deranged.

We elected George Bush as the 43rd POTUS? Thought it was a Supreme Court decision.

Even Florida wanted Gore.

Certainly, that is as I would incline to remember it. I won't comment on folks I met who had voted for Bush.

But it tells you something of mass-psychology, even after Ted Kennedy stood up to lambast Bush at the National Press Club as the 2004 election-year began.

I was a latecomer to campaigning for Kerry, beginning my activism only in spring of that year. After the Swift-boat and other nonsense, the public would continue in the same direction. You would see the argument "We're at war."

It may be true that Jeb is a better flavor of Bush; perhaps less cornpone and more soft-spoken, with a bigger vocabulary. But it's the same family, with the same industrial and regional connections going back before Prescott.

Thumbs down.
