Enforce anti-trust laws on the books. Not sure why Trump admin hasn't gone after him. They don't seem to shy away from using the DOJ for political purposes.

No he won't. Not even close. He's only worth $143 billion and that's with Amazon already at almost $1.2 trillion market cap. There's no way Amazon stock price can go up enough for him to be trillionaire. He would need Blue Origin to become way bigger than Amazon. And I don't see that happening.

Elon Musk has better shot than Jeff Bezos even though I don't even think Musk will get anywhere close to trillion. I think Elon Musk will easily pass Jeff Bezos as the world's richest person before the end of this decade.

Hope he can spend it all in hell. He could make all his employees millionaires at that rate.

It's pretty disgusting that people can accumulate that obscene amount of wealth while others struggle to make ends meet. Should tax the shit out of people like that and use the funds to improve government services.
People like Bezos and Musk deserve every penny they make. They've created and added incredible value to the world. What have you added to society other than take up space and collect your weekly checks?

I don't deny that they have created something of value. But they didn't build that value on their own in a vacuum. We have created an environment where there businesses can succeed, but we've also created an environment where they can exploit labor, skirt taxes, and generally allow ultra wealthy to continue winning even more while everyone else suffers.

Don't know why you're so crazy to lick their boots. The only thing that trickles down is them pissing on the rest of society. Rich people won't save us with the philanthropy and "innovations".

There are founders and CEOs that deserve their money. Others who don't. I don't have problem with people like Gates, Bezos, Musk, Buffett, Dorsey, etc. who built their companies and their fortune from ground up and have added value to the world. I do have problem with worthless CEOs who were promoted to their positions through office politics and just act as paycheck collectors. Many public CEOs fall in this category. The paycheck collecting CEOs do not deserve their pay.

But neither Bezos or Musk are known for their philanthropy. So no, they don’t deserve all their money for abusing their employees especially shown during this crisis.

There ever widening wealth gap since 1980 is disturbing to me.

We are devolving into a plutocracy.

Also, I don't think people really understand what $1 billion is. It is an absolutely obscene amount of money

and he has 140 of them.
If he woke up tomorrow and half his money was gone, how in any shape way or form would his life change? What would be different for him?

No one deserves that much, he'll never be able to spend it all, and even if he could on what? it's absolutely disgusting that so much wealth can be concentrated in the hands of so few, while millions in his country are being denied healthcare among many other things

They're running a business. Not a charity. Musk has singlehandedly advanced humanity and the world probably like 20 years or more through Tesla. This is Tesla's mission statement.

Tesla’s mission is to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy.

And SpaceX has forever changed space program.

SpaceX designs, manufactures and launches advanced rockets and spacecraft. The company was founded in 2002 to revolutionize space technology, with the ultimate goal of enabling people to live on other planets.

Musk will spend every penny he has and will probably have to borrow even more if he wants to see his vision of colonizing Mars.

Better take his twitter account away from him then before he end up screwing it all with his tweets....

Yeah he’s pushing SpaceX so he can sell tickets for flights to Mars. Not to move to a Star Trek type future.

bezos has a lot of cash, musk has almost none and spends every penny on his companies. if he hits the windfall stock price, he will actually have some cash. these media wealth numbers are not indictive of the actual amount of money they have to spend, like in a checking account.

It should be noted that Elon Musk has signed the "giving pledge" to ultimately donate at least half of his fortune to charity, so he is by no means the worse offender in this category. (Although you could certainly take issue with specific business practices or public behavior by him.)

Jeff Bezos' wife (who did end up with a significant amount of assets after her divorce) also signed the giving pledge, so at least some of that Amazon money should end up going to charity.

Having said this, I certainly strongly support a more effective progressive tax system so we don't have to hope the wealthy 1% decide to donate allot of their money, and for that matter end up spending it on properly worthwhile causes.
