Our great grandparents would embrace the new technologies just like we did. I get my flu vaccine every year just like I put on my seat belt when I get in the car.
If you don't mind taking your chances with the flu, go right ahead but don't tell me how I should run my life or try to scare me with "OMG in 20 years I might get cancer" fear mongering.
There is tons of research proving that vaccine are safe short and long term.
You won't take the medicine, fine but don't call me a pussy when I make informed decisions backed up by scientific research about my health.
Pussification is what our country is coming to, including people (like you) who waste their time getting flu shots:

Plain language summary
There is not enough evidence to decide whether routine vaccination to prevent influenza in healthy adults is effective....It did not change the number of people needing to go to hospital or take time off work.

Flu vaccine fails to reduce hospitalization in asthmatic children
MedWire News: Children with asthma who receive the flu vaccine may be more likely to be hospitalized with influenza than their unvaccinated counterparts, US researchers believe.
Pussification. And "science" even confirms it. Only in a pandemic is a vaccine worthy of getting, for little things like the flu it's a waste of time. Have fun living in fear of the flu, you're still going to miss the same days from work that I am.
