The birds would still be flying and listening and a link could easily be brought up online. There's actually quite a bit of redundancy and LEO equipment but open discussion of it is currently forbidden.

So far it looks to be a good series, but one of the subplots makes me want to put a boot up the writers ass. That is the F'n Prison Bus/ers escape. There's plenty of stories that can be told in such a situation, WhyTF do they always put in these cheezy subplots? :|

I hope this isn't one of those shows where they only create questions without giving any answers making the whole thing a pointless convoluted random piece of crap

Did you watch the first episode now? If so, what did you think of it?

They couldn't pick anything up if I recall correctly. Just like the black guy had problems picking up anything with the old radio in the police station.

Interesting show though...should be fun to see how they try and play everything out.

Oh, but he did.

There's something about that guy though. I think he might be CIA or something similar as indicated by statements he made to his wife. OTOH, perhaps he's some kind of Sleeper Terrorist waiting for orders. At anyrate, he's waiting for something or someone to give him the "Go".

I think it has great potential, if they progress the plot instead of dicking around like some other shows, but the latter seems to be all the rage these days

I do not think the black guy is a bad guy. He is Jericho's "John Lock" where his intentions are good just there is more to him than we know at this point. When he wrote down that information in morse code he was really, really shocked and almost started crying. If he were part of a terrorist organization he would be happy because we assume the list of cities he wrote down were cities that are destroyed.

At first I didn't think the show would be good, I figured it would take a season before they started to venture out of their town. However, it looks like next week week they begin to try to figure out wtf is going on. I also did not like the prison bus subplot, but it looks like that is going to be wrapped up pretty soon.

I'm curious about one thing:

The President of the US was giving what looks to be a State of the Union address when the bombs went off. It's impossible terrorists were able to smuggle in enough bombs to hit each major city, so the nuclear bombs had to of been from ICMBs. China, or Russian. NORAD was not asleep at the wheel, and about thirty minutes before the bombs started hitting the cities the President would of been rushed to Air Force One or a bunker in DC. I believe the US military would have about thirty minutes to see incoming ICMBs and launch our own. However, for whatever reason we can be assured DC was hit in the middle of a huge event, where pretty much the whole US federal government was vaporized. If I recall they always put a member of the President's cabinet in a safe place, so the new President of the US could be the Secretary of Agriculture.

The first episode was horrible. It made me not want to continue watching it.

Also I couldn't stop thinking "he's the killer from scream!" when I saw the main guy.

Yeah, the black guy did pick something up but it took some work.

I agree that there is more to the black guy. Just like there is more to the main character because he seems to convienently know alot to solve the shows problems (perform the infamous cut-a-hole-in-the-throat surgery on the little girl, how to propery setup explosives, how the radioactive rain was coming, etc). I don't think either are terrorists or anything though. I think the black guy is just probably something more than a cop from St. Louis though...probably something like a military guy or intelligence agent or something.

I started watching some of lastnights episode but didn't see the first one and wasn't to sure what was going on.

I saw that Comcast On Demand has it though, so I'll have to watch the first one and then maybe it'll all make sense.

I doesn't have the same appeal to me that other mystery shows like Lost or Twin Peaks had. I think I'd rather just read the plot and find out what's going on.

I really didn't like the John Woo-eque gunfight at the farm. It just didn't fit in.

Do you even know who John Woo is? Have you seen any of his movies? What exactly about the gunfight was John Woo ish? The poor marksman ship? The nervous ducking around the cars? The jittery hands?
