I love it, but not quite ready for it. Still need to put the pipe insulation on the garden hose. That's the only part of winter that sucks - frozen water buckets and frozen hoses.

Either drain and put away the hoses or set them up for continual drip.
You may have an ice rink at the end of the hose as a result.

We have what you're looking for in the Sacramento Valley right now. Definitely "Indian Summer" - low 80s and dry as a bone. Hopefully we'll get rain soon.

Snow is great. I like living in an area with a wide variety of weather. Although it could be cold for 2 months less. It needs to change fast, snow for a bit, then change back towards warm.

this is my complaint too. i dont mind the seasons, but its just cold for too long.

This was always my favorite time of year in NorCal...and February/March when the almonds were in blossom.

Otherwise, I do NOT miss the scorching summer heat...or the valley fog in the winter.

Yup. Around 5:00PM last night it was almost to the point of flurries outside of Peoria.

Could be certainly be worse. My in-laws live in The Black Hills (South Dakota) and they had 3 FEET of snow a few weeks ago. THREE F'N FEET. In early October.

You guys are about 24 hours ahead of us in weather. SNOW! It just changed from a very light drizzle (rain) to a rain/snow mix with some huge heavy flakes. Nothing's sticking. But, quite pretty looking out the window & watching it. Sticking would be bad - there are still a lot of trees with leaves on them.

I recently moved to the far NW side from the suburbs. How do you park on unplowed crowded residential streets? Are you expected to plow your own spot or does the city plow? Should I just pay for a parking garage during winter months?

We have a sprinkle of snow on the ground and roofs now. Nothing special, but it's not melting on contact anymore, so it's a start.

Summer went by way too fast though.

I had to install two vents on the side of my house, there was one day where it was above zero and not raining a few days ago. I got freaking lucky that I managed to get it done because it was probably the last day of the year where I could have done it.

The city does plow the streets, but people tend to dig their cars out ahead of that. I usually cleaned the sidewalk and parking in front of our townhouse and threw away the buckets that some retard neighbor thought he'd use to "reserve" his spot (get the fuck outta here with that white trash BS).

That being said, I've had a garage for as long as I've been here.
