WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAohshitfuckthathurtfuckfuck.
There are very broken physics in that gif, it seems like. A typical 'karate board' or whatever is what, maybe like a half inch thick? Three-quarters? Made of some pissant wood, probably end-sawn so it snaps easy.
That dude punched with all his might into a board that was just laying there, with nothing to hold it from springing back up. And that fucker doesn't budge.
So, either a) shenanigans or b) this motherfucker was trying to punch through steel plate.

Clearly he punches the part that has the step ladder underneath it.
a quick "karate board fail" google brought up this

looks pretty bad - lol
But on top of that, the wood they break is ALWAYS endsawn, and many times it's pre-dried in an oven to make it more brittle.
NOW you tell me! :'(
~25 years ago, had a friend that broke both wrists. His Mom went to stay with him. "So, Mark, who's wiping your butt now?"
Didn't think about that....Damn, what fun we could have had.I guess that's better than "How you going to crank it?"
