t's impossible. I swing a blade more than most people, and I doubt I could get through one pig unless I got lucky going through the spine. Swords aren't magic. I don't care how Japanese it looks, it's still subject to normal physics.

I'll raise your "I swing a sword a bit" with I worked in a friends abbatoir during my holidays at college.

Yes he got lucky but all he had to cut through there was 4 spines and a small amount of muscle/skin as long as the blade doesn't hit the middle of a vertebra it will naturally be funnelled towards the joint which it can slide right through. this is helped greatly by the carcasses being hung up which stretches the spines out.

You only need a tiny sharp knife to split the front end of a pig from the back when they are hung up like this no force required I see no reason why a samurai sword couldn't easily do 4 in one swing. try 6 inches further up or down and you wouldn't even get through one.

You guys do realize samurai swords were traditionally rated by how many people (prisoners) it could cut through in a single swing? 4 was considered good. Apparently there are some swords in Japanese museums with a rating of 5 etched on them.

In the video the sword was barely making it through a single shoulder or rib section. There's no way it went through 4 pigs like that. Way fake.
