Wife is Vietnamese and I've seen these in the flesh.
Blew my mind.
Did you try it?
When I was in Asia, friends and associates tried to talk me into eating one and I declined. They ate those things with salt and pepper as we eat apples in the US. And then the soup with duck/pig solidified blood and then lightly cook. Yike, but the fried crickets with peanuts inside on sticks were not bad.
I did try kimchi when I was in S. Korea, the taste was not bad but the smell..goodness, too much. I tried not to gag in front of everyone.
Folks in Japan haven't offer me anything strange/weird to eat yet. I guess they will try to break me in gently and slowly.
Strange things that people eat in Asia and elsewhere around the world.
Someone explain. I don't get this.

I did that today to someone. I was on the computer with my earphones in. I turned not expecting to see anyone right next to me. Shrieked and jumped a few inches out of my chair. Very exaggerated startle response.
I remember those. But for the record, normal people don't really eat them. I lived in Hong Kong and been to other part of Asia for many years and only older generation of the locals (50 years old +) eat them but not even on monthly basis. Most people don't like them, but unless for special occasions or some kind of medical urgency (some of the claims the old folks do sound insane) and they are talked into eating them, or taking tourists to give them a 'shocking' type of food experience. Of course, the later only make people think every Asian eats crazy stuffs daily. =/
Everyone on either side of the camera was likely drunk.WHATEVER THE FUCK YOU DO...
Do NOT stop recording. Just sit there and keep recording. Don't drop the camera and rush over to help them. Make sure you get it all recorded
Not in English and from my friends in Asia, those are delicate foods.
Pic 1 - duck eggs with 1/2 growth ducks.
That was pretty incredible, especially if it's amateur video. Very impressive.

Got chips?
I don't normally care how the do special effects. I just assume computers + $ = CGI. But now I'm sort of curious.
