We made up these standards, humans of any group are not any different from how they were 100 or 1000 years ago. If anything, they are living longer and in MUCH better conditions. Whereas these viruses are different, they have mutated and evolved to adapt to their surroundings and to counter their enemies. New species are found every year and the older ones get stronger every year. Those facts are concerning and news worthy.
