Honestly, I didn't like any of the musical numbers in Frozen. I understand why Let It Go was popular, but it didn't really fit the story for me. The musical folks behind Frozen can't hold a candle to Menken/Ashman's genius.

Unfortunately, half of that amazing duo died during the production of Aladdin. Menken only had 2 really good songs in Tangled, but I liked them better than anything in Frozen.

The Lopezs are great contemporary composers and quite frankly, having seen her in person twice, Idina Menzel was twice the singer of anyone in Tangled. Same goes for Josh Gad. Plus Frozen broke about half-a-dozen Disney tropes.

Don't get me wrong, Tangled was excellent and the first indication of Disney returning to form.

The official explanation is pure shit. Han was using that as an example of the ships raw speed, not his own skill or the efficiency of navigating precision to shorten distance. Supposedly in the early drafts of the scripts Han was intentionally lying to see if Obi-Wan and Luke were rubes so that he could overcharge them or whether they knew their stuff. Obi-Wan was scripted to react to the falsehood and earn Han's respect. Somehow that part either got written out or left on the cutting room floor which left a large hole in the continuity of the dialog that Lucas missed. I think the official explanation was invented rather than Lucas owning up and saying "my bad" to what was either an error in writing or post-production editing.

In a complete vacuum with no other factors involved the explanation that it was a display of piloting skill or of ships navigation prowess *might* hold water. But in the context of the entire scene when it was used to brag about the ships pure speed it's crapola.
