The comic is a gag by a linguist making fun of poor teaching of WHP.That is a terrible depiction when it comes to trying to demonstrate gendered nouns. Then again, while I love language, I'm hardly a master of it. I just know how to talk good.
Also without further digging into it, I couldn't make sense of how that comic possibly related to the hypothesis. But I do fully agree with the hypothesis and what the combined message of this post represents.
