Three people wake up in prison and learn that they are about to be put on the electric chair. None can remember what they did to deserve it.
The first man sits on the chair and says, "I am a pastor, and I believe in the power of God to save me!" The switch is flipped, and nothing happens. The executioner figures that God must be with this man, and lets him go.
The second man sits down in the chair and says, "I am a lawyer, and I believe in the power of the law to intervene on behalf of the innocent!" The switch is flipped, and nothing happens. The executioner figures that the law must be on the man's side, and lets him go.
The third man sits in the chair and says, "I'm an electrician, and you're not electrocuting anybody unless you connect those two wires down there."
